Philip M. Davis was shot and killed during a traffic stop on I-65 in Pelham. Philip was the first Pelham Police Officer ever to be killed in the line of duty. He left behind a wife and two small children.
It was evident that Philip chose this profession because of his profound love for this nation, the community, and his fellow man. Philip's death was a tremendous loss to our community. Philip was a 4.5-year veteran of the Pelham Police Department. Previously, he worked at the Calera Police Department and at the University of Alabama Police Department.
