Election Information
Municipal Elections are held every four years on the fourth (4th) Tuesday in August. The registered voters residing in the City of Pelham elect a mayor and five city council members. City officials are elected "at large" or city-wide. Pelham is not divided into voting districts for municipal elections.
Drivers License & Vehicle Registration
Driver licenses and vehicle registration services are handled by Shelby County at the Shelby County Services Building, located at 1018 County Services Drive, Pelham, AL 35124
Water & Sewer Service
Pelham Water Works is dedicated to providing our customers with safe, high-quality water and reliable service. Both the Pelham Water Works and the Sewer Department meet or exceed all standards set by the Alabama Department of Environmental Management (ADEM) and the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Trash & Recycling
Amwaste is the City of Pelham's solid waste, recycling, debris, and bulk trash service provider. Pelham Water Works will set this up for you at the same time you establish water & sewer service.

Ballantrae Golf Club

Pelham Civic Complex & Ice Arena

Pelham Racquet Club
The Pelham Racquet Club is a premier tennis facility in central Alabama and has become a hub for tennis enthusiasts and recreational players of all ages. The City of Pelham operates under the Mayor/Council form of government with a City Manager by ordinance. The Pelham City Council sets the overall vision of the City and sets priorities through the annual budget. The Council also approves ordinances, which become the City's local law. The Mayor serves as the policy head of the City and appoints the Fire Chief and Police Chief with City Council approval. The City Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation and leadership of the governmental functions in the City and serves as the City's Chief Executive Officer. The City Manager receives direction from and reports to the City Council. The City of Pelham has an exceptional team of department heads whose members appreciate the city government's interdependent nature.
City Council meetings are held at 7:00 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month unless moved to an alternate date by the majority of the council.
