The six-mile stretch of US-31 will get a major facelift as the City invests millions to bring in some shiny new upgrades.
Project at a Glance
The outdated light fixtures will be replaced with new, energy-efficient LED lighting that will improve public safety. The lights will be affixed to decorative poles instead of wooden ones, improving the corridor's visual aesthetics. In addition, most of the overhead power lines will be buried underground.

The estimated cost of the project is $11 million.
