Summary: Performs maintenance work by completing preventive maintenance; cleaning and maintaining indoor and outdoor areas and ground covering; cleaning shop area.

- Prepares for assigned maintenance work by reviewing requests; gathering tools, supplies, and materials.
- Applies fertilizer, herbicides and insecticides to grounds.
- Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance; making repairs; procuring parts and supplies.
- Maintains appearance by cleaning and preparing indoor and outdoor areas and ground covering.
- Maintains and repairs driveways, walks, hedges, swings, benches along with other park equipment.
- Documents actions by completing work orders and logs as required.
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships with others.
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) and one month experience related experience or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to perform a mix of unskilled and skilled tasks.
Certificates and Licenses: A valid Alabama Driver’s License is required.
Compensation: The compensation for this position is $37,268.00 - $50, 792.00 based on education and experience. The City of Pelham has a comprehensive benefits package which includes health/dental insurance, vision insurance, and retirement benefits through Retirement Systems of Alabama.
